It's again been a busy few days with Saturday and Sunday spent in the Lake District. Nigel, John, Steve, Phil and Gemma joined me for the expedition phase of a split weekend Mountain Leader Training course. The weather was challenging in Eskdale on Saturday, with heavy rain and extremely high rivers combined with poor visibility. However, this gave us ample opportunity to explore the syllabus fully!

Today John, Mark and myself visited Kinder Scout for some mountain navigation practice. Despite a drizzly start the day improved dramatically with fine weather in the afternoon.

It looks like the mild weather might be coming to an end as the wind swings around to the north on Tuesday bringing colder conditions.
