Despite a slightly damp start the Burbage Valley was in good condition today. Most of the crags were busy including Burbage North, Burbage South, Higgar Tor and boulders at Burbage South.

Burbage South got a bit of a hammering with Dave Evans soloing the classic route 'The Knock' (E5) followed by a solo ascent of 'Nosferatu' (E6) by Neil Dyer. Not to be out done, Tim Neill and Phil Dowthwaite tested what is rumoured to be the best fall on grit from 'Offspring' (E5).

At a slightly easier grade the classics of 'Sorb' (E2), 'Byne's Crack' (VS) and 'The Boggart' (E2) all had ascents along with many of the usual boulder problems.

The weather looks slightly mixed for Sunday with the possibility of some rain, with colder weather to follow later in the week.
