Magnus George and myself spent the last few days on the Isle of Skye, making what we could of the weather. Unfortunately, it was a little unsettled with heavy rain and strong winds at times. Despite this we managed to makes ascents of Bruach na Frithe, Am Basteir, Bhasteir Tooth, west ridge of Sgurr nan Gillean, Sgurr Alasdair and Sgurr Thearlaich. We also found the time to visit the Island of Raasay to make an ascent of the fantastic peak of Dun Caan.
In the Peak District its been overcast but great conditions on the grit. The previous evenings rain being quickly dried by the stiff breeze on the higher edges. Dave Dickinson and myself visited Stanage Edge to get moving on the rock prior to a visit to the Lakes later in the week..
